ATL On-Time Performance, By Airline
Every airline's real, government-reported on-time arrival rate, on-time departure rate, cancellation rate, and average delay for flights into and out of Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International — sourced directly from the US DOT/BTS Reporting Carrier On-Time Performance dataset, May 2026.
Per-airline on-time performance at ATL — May 2026
Ranked by ATL-linked flight volume. “On-time” uses the DOT/BTS standard definition: an arrival or departure is on-time when it occurs fewer than 15 minutes after schedule. Every row here is a real reporting carrier from the BTS dataset — none merged, invented, or estimated. Two BTS-reported carriers this month (NK, 37 flights; MQ, 108 flights) have small enough ATL sample sizes that a single bad-weather day can swing their rate several points — shown as-is, not smoothed.
| Carrier | ATL flights | Arrival on-time % | Departure on-time % | Cancellation % | Avg. arrival delay |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Delta Air Lines (DL) | 42,650 | 81.6% | 82.0% | 1.3% | 12.3 min |
| Frontier Airlines (F9) | 4,036 | 67.1% | 69.7% | 0.6% | 24.4 min |
| Southwest Airlines (WN) | 2,660 | 66.2% | 60.3% | 0.5% | 21.2 min |
| United Airlines (UA) | 1,381 | 78.2% | 79.0% | 0.5% | 17.7 min |
| American Airlines (AA) | 1,292 | 69.0% | 67.5% | 2.0% | 28.9 min |
| Carrier OO | 1,042 | 70.7% | 72.4% | 1.4% | 30.5 min |
| Carrier OH | 589 | 80.1% | 79.5% | 1.2% | 19.6 min |
| Carrier YX | 588 | 79.4% | 81.8% | 1.5% | 15.3 min |
| JetBlue Airways (B6) | 465 | 69.1% | 73.1% | 0.0% | 24.5 min |
| Carrier AS | 219 | 86.2% | 82.7% | 0.0% | 6.9 min |
| Carrier MQ | 108 | 78.5% | 75.7% | 0.9% | 12.4 min |
| Spirit Airlines (NK) | 37 | 64.7% | 58.8% | 8.1% | 48.8 min |
7 of these 12 reporting carriers have a full ATL Passenger airline profile page: American, Delta, Frontier, JetBlue, Southwest, Spirit, and United. The other 5 (AS, MQ, OH, OO, YX) are regional/mainline carriers that report separately to BTS but don’t have their own airline profile page on this site — shown here by bare IATA code since BTS’s own bulk file carries no carrier-name lookup we could verify. This site’s other airline profile pages (Air Canada, Air France, British Airways, KLM, Korean Air, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines) don’t appear above because BTS’s on-time reporting mandate covers US-certificated domestic carriers only — no international on-time data exists to show for them, so none is shown.
