Are there pet relief areas at ATL?
Yes — pre-security pet relief areas are at all terminal exits, plus post-security relief stations on every concourse.
Hartsfield-Jackson has pre-security and post-security pet relief stations to accommodate traveling pets and service animals. Pre-security relief areas are located outside both terminals (Domestic and International) near the curbside zones.
Post-security pet relief stations are located on each concourse: T (near gate T9), A (near central atrium), B (near gate B16), C (near central atrium), D (near central atrium), E (near gate E18), and F (near central atrium). Each station includes artificial turf, waste disposal, and sanitization supplies.
Service animals are welcome throughout the airport at no charge. Emotional support animals must comply with airline-specific rules (most major U.S. airlines no longer accept ESAs in cabin under DOT rules effective 2021).
Atlanta is one of the more pet-friendly major U.S. airports. The pet relief areas were significantly expanded in 2018 and are maintained by airport staff multiple times daily. Bring your own waste bags as backup; supplied bags occasionally run out at peak times.
