How do I get a wheelchair at ATL?
Request wheelchair assistance through your airline at booking, or at the gate/check-in counter on day of travel.
Wheelchair assistance at Hartsfield-Jackson is provided by each individual airline rather than by the airport directly. Request assistance when booking your flight (most airlines have an accessibility-services field at booking) or at the check-in counter or gate on day of travel.
All major airlines provide complimentary wheelchair assistance for travelers with mobility needs. Service includes pickup at curbside or check-in, transportation through security and to the gate, gate-to-aircraft boarding assistance, and at your destination, deplaning assistance and transport to baggage claim or your next gate.
For travelers with their own wheelchairs or mobility devices, all gate areas, restrooms, and amenities at ATL are wheelchair-accessible. Aisle wheelchairs are available on most aircraft for in-flight bathroom access.
Service animals are welcome throughout the airport. Pet relief areas (separate from service animal areas) are available on every concourse. The ATL Accessibility & Disability Services office can be reached at 800-897-1910 for additional assistance or to address service concerns.
