Spirit Airlines operates an ultra-low-cost carrier (ULCC) schedule from Concourse D at Hartsfield-Jackson. Daily destinations include Las Vegas, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Tampa, Detroit, and various seasonal Caribbean and Latin American destinations including Cancun, San Juan, and Cartagena.

Check-in is at the Domestic Terminal South lobby. Spirit operates an unbundled fare structure where the base fare includes only a personal item; carry-on and checked bags are charged separately, with prices that increase the closer you get to departure. Pre-paying online is significantly cheaper than at the counter.

Spirit does not operate a lounge or have any premium-passenger amenities at ATL. The on-board experience is similarly bare-bones — no free water or snacks, slim seats with limited recline, and small overhead bins.

Bag fees structure (typical, varies by route and fare class): personal item free; carry-on $26–69 (depending on when paid); first checked bag $26–69; seat selection $5–50. Bigger Front Seat (extra-legroom) seats run $25–150.

If you're new to Spirit, the Free Spirit loyalty program and the Spirit Saver$ Club ($69/year) can offset some bag fees. The carrier is best for short, leisure-focused trips where the savings on the base fare outweigh the inconvenience of unbundled pricing.
