Concourse D handles a mix of Delta regional traffic and ATL's low-cost-carrier operations. JetBlue, Spirit Airlines, and Frontier Airlines all operate from D, while Delta Connection regional jets occupy the western half of the concourse. The result is a concourse with one of the broadest passenger demographics at ATL — leisure travelers, snowbirds, college students, and business commuters all share the same gates.
Because LCCs typically board further from the central atrium, give yourself extra time to reach gates D40 and beyond. The west end of D includes a small play area for families, several charging clusters, and an art installation by Atlanta artist Radcliffe Bailey.
Dining on D leans toward fast-casual: P.F. Chang's Express, Qdoba, and a Corona-branded bar near the atrium are reliable. For a sit-down meal, walk five minutes to Concourse C or back to the central spine.
There's no dedicated lounge on D, but Priority Pass members can use The Club ATL on F (about 8 minutes away by Plane Train). Wi-Fi is strong throughout the concourse, and the moving walkways are typically less crowded than on the busier A and B concourses.
