Can I bring a stroller through ATL security?
Yes — strollers go through the X-ray machine; collapse them at the security checkpoint.
Strollers, infant car seats, and similar baby-related items can be brought through TSA security at Hartsfield-Jackson. At the security checkpoint, fold or collapse the stroller and place it on the X-ray belt. TSA officers will assist if needed.
Children under 12 are not required to remove shoes or light outerwear during security screening. Children typically can stay in your stroller until the actual screening point (when you'll need to lift them out briefly).
TSA Cares is a special TSA program for travelers with disabilities, medical conditions, or other special needs. Call 855-787-2227 (Monday–Friday 8 a.m.–11 p.m. ET, weekends/holidays 9 a.m.–8 p.m. ET) at least 72 hours before your flight to arrange assistance through security.
Stroller rentals are also available at the Domestic Terminal information desk for $5/day with a $20 refundable deposit if you'd prefer to gate-check your own stroller and use a rental in the airport.
