Can I bring a bicycle on the MARTA train from ATL?

Yes — bicycles are allowed on MARTA trains at all hours, in designated bike-friendly cars or in standing space.

Bicycles are allowed on MARTA trains at all hours including peak times. Look for cars marked with bicycle decals — these typically have flip-up seats to provide bicycle stowage space. If bike-marked cars aren't available, you can stand with your bicycle in the standing area near the doors.

MARTA's standard $2.50 fare applies; no separate fee for bicycles. Cyclists are responsible for managing their bikes and ensuring they don't block other passengers or doorways.

Bicycles are also allowed in the MARTA station elevators (helpful for accessing the underground platforms) but not on the escalators. Folding bicycles can be carried on without restriction at any time.

From the Hartsfield-Jackson MARTA station, you can ride to many Atlanta destinations. Note that some MARTA bus routes do not accommodate bicycles; check route-specific rules if your trip involves a bus connection.
