How do I get from ATL to Emory University?
MARTA Gold Line to Lindbergh Center, then transfer to a Cliff Shuttle (free Emory shuttle) or rideshare.
Emory University is located in northeast Atlanta and is not directly served by MARTA rail. From Hartsfield-Jackson, the standard transit route is MARTA Gold Line from the airport to Lindbergh Center station (about 35 minutes), then connect to the Cliff Shuttle (a free Emory-operated shuttle service running every 15-20 minutes during peak hours).
Total transit time including waits is typically 60-90 minutes. MARTA fare is $2.50 with a Breeze Card; the Cliff Shuttle is free.
Rideshare from the airport to Emory typically runs $40-65 and takes 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. Faster than MARTA but significantly more expensive.
MARTA buses also serve the Emory area but require multiple transfers and longer travel times. The Atlanta Streetcar does not extend to Emory. For frequent Emory travel, the Cliff Shuttle plus MARTA combination is the most cost-effective option.
