Uber and Lyft both operate at Hartsfield-Jackson with designated pickup zones at both terminals. After requesting a ride in your app, follow signs to the rideshare pickup area.

Domestic Terminal pickup is on the upper-level West Curbside (departures level), in zones marked for rideshare. The pickup area is a 5–10 minute walk from baggage claim depending on which carousel you arrive at. Use the elevators near the carousels to reach the upper level.

International Terminal pickup is on the lower level outside baggage claim, in zones marked for rideshare. The pickup area is a 2–4 minute walk from the baggage claim exit.

Pricing depends on destination, surge multipliers, and time of day. A typical ride to downtown Atlanta runs $30–45; Midtown $35–50; Buckhead $45–60; Sandy Springs/North Atlanta suburbs $55–80. UberX/Lyft Standard are the cheapest options; Uber Premier/Lyft Lux Black are 2–3x the price.

Travel times depend heavily on traffic. Downtown Atlanta is typically 20–30 minutes outside of rush hour and 30–60 minutes during rush hour (7–9 a.m. and 4–7 p.m. weekdays). The I-75/I-85 connector through downtown is the primary chokepoint.

Tips: Wait until you've cleared baggage claim to request your ride. Confirm your driver's license plate before getting in. The rideshare pickup zones at the Domestic Terminal can be chaotic during peak times — text or call your driver to confirm exact location.
