FAQ · Getting Around

How do I get from the Domestic Terminal to the International Terminal at ATL?

Free SkyTrain shuttle service connects the two terminals, plus the Plane Train provides post-security connection.

Hartsfield-Jackson's two terminals (Domestic and Maynard H. Jackson Jr. International) are connected by free SkyTrain shuttle service for ground-side travelers and by the Plane Train for post-security travelers.

For ground-side connections (e.g., changing terminals to access different parking, ground transportation, or to enter security at the other terminal): take the free SkyTrain from the Domestic Terminal to the International Terminal. The SkyTrain operates every 5 minutes during peak hours and every 10 minutes overnight; total transit time is approximately 10 minutes.

For post-security connections (e.g., between domestic flights and international flights via Concourse F): take the Plane Train from any concourse to Concourse F. From F, you can exit to the International Terminal (e.g., for international arrivals processing) or stay airside for connecting flights.

Plan ahead for terminal-to-terminal connections, especially when checking bags. Bags can typically be checked through to your destination on a single ticket, but separate-ticket itineraries require collecting bags and re-checking at the second terminal — adding 60–90 minutes to your connection.
