How does the ATL Plane Train work?
The Plane Train is a free automated underground shuttle running between the Domestic Terminal and all concourses, every 2 minutes.
The Plane Train is an automated underground people mover connecting the Domestic Terminal and all concourses (T, A, B, C, D, E, F). Service runs continuously from approximately 4:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. with trains every 2 minutes during peak hours and every 4–5 minutes overnight.
There is no fare to ride the Plane Train. Stations are located at the central atrium of each concourse and are accessible via escalator, stairs, or elevator from the gate level.
End-to-end travel time from the Domestic Terminal to Concourse F is approximately 12 minutes including station dwell times. Each concourse-to-concourse hop runs 90 seconds to 2 minutes.
An above-ground parallel walkway also connects the concourses for travelers who prefer to walk or who need to access amenities not available at the train level. The walking route is significantly slower (15–20 minutes from one end to the other) but offers art installations and natural light.
