Does ATL have CLEAR security?
Yes — CLEAR is available at both Domestic Terminal checkpoints and the International Terminal.
CLEAR is available at Hartsfield-Jackson at all three security checkpoints: Domestic Terminal North, Domestic Terminal South, and International Terminal. CLEAR uses biometric verification (eyes or fingerprints) to expedite identity verification, then escorts you to the front of the standard or PreCheck security line.
CLEAR membership runs $189/year ($179 with eligible credit cards including Delta SkyMiles American Express cards, which include CLEAR membership at no additional cost for select cardholders). Family members can be added for $70 each. Two-month free trial is available.
CLEAR alone reduces security wait time by approximately 15-25 minutes during peak periods (you skip the ID-checking line). CLEAR + TSA PreCheck together provides the fastest security experience available at ATL — typically under 5 minutes from CLEAR check-in to physical screening completion.
CLEAR pods are clearly marked at each checkpoint. Look for the CLEAR logo and the pod with biometric scanners. Staff are present to assist with first-time enrollments or complications.
