Does ATL have TSA PreCheck?

Yes — ATL has TSA PreCheck lanes at both the Domestic and International Terminal security checkpoints.

TSA PreCheck lanes are available at both the North and South security checkpoints at the Domestic Terminal and at the International Terminal checkpoint. TSA PreCheck cuts security wait times by 50–80% on average and allows you to keep shoes, belts, and light jackets on, plus laptops and liquids in your bag.

PreCheck operating hours typically run 4:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. weekdays at both Domestic Terminal checkpoints. International Terminal PreCheck operates 4:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. PreCheck wait times average 5–10 minutes vs. 20–40+ minutes for standard TSA lines.

To use PreCheck, your boarding pass must indicate 'TSA PRE' below the barcode. Membership requires applying through TSA (currently $78 for 5 years) or qualifying through Global Entry, NEXUS, or SENTRI memberships.

Clear is also available at ATL — separate from TSA PreCheck, Clear uses biometric verification to escort you to the front of the line at any TSA lane. Clear membership runs $189/year ($179 with eligible credit cards). PreCheck + Clear together provides the fastest security experience available at ATL.
